This console has been realized in the XIX century in Venice, Italy, in carved and gilded wood. The plan, recessed, is in wood painted to false marble. The console, of considerable size, has a line in the style of Louis XV, with a strongly shaped top, fascia and curved legs. On the front and laterally the band has a carved decoration with volute motifs and phytomorphic elements of Rocaille taste. The four legs are crossed by floral branches in relief and carved feet.
This majestic console despite having a rich and ornate line, looks well balanced resulting light, decorative and very pleasant.
In the important Baroque Italian palaces, the consoles were among the most beloved furnishings, emblem of the wealth of the client, to show off in the large halls.
