Offered by Brozzetti Antichità
This elegant console was crafted in the Louis XV period, 18th century, in France. It features a top with a shaped profile, made of lacquered wood with a faux marble effect in Green Alpine. The apron beneath the top is particularly intricate, finely carved and pierced. Two lacquered wooden bands in ivory tones, with gilded reserves, are connected by gilded wood carvings in floral and baroque-style leaf motifs. At the front corners, two curved, shaped legs, lacquered and adorned with gilded flower, scroll, and leaf designs, emerge. The legs are finished with scrolls and curls, and are connected at the base by a wavy stretcher, lacquered and gilded, upon which rests a basket overflowing with gilded flowers, cascading down to embellish the apron.
This console, bright and decorative, can easily be incorporated into various settings, such as entrances, corridors, salons, or bedrooms, complementing both antique and modern furnishings.
