Icon with the venerable saints from the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery

The lower part of the icon shows in the center the main building of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, dedicated to the Dormition.

The saints gathered right and left around the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In the lower row, there are the fathers of the monastery Antonij and Feodosij with scrolls next to them eight other saints, in the upper row on the left Saint Peter, Metropolitan Johannes and Saint Pantheleimon, on the right Saint Paul, Sergij von Radonesch and Antonius the hermit.

In the middle of the upper part of the image in the banks of the clouds, the Mother of God eases my pain surrounded by seven angels. To their left is Saint Michael, with Peter the Metropolitan of Moscow as an iconographic element, a carved miniature cross is encrusted between the saints. To their right is Saint Gabriel, with Phillip the first Saint Patriarch of Moscow and Russia and Alexei first bearer of the Metropolitan title in Moscow. The holy women stand on the right and on the left on both sides.

At the top of another cloud bank, God the Father is represented on the left, Christ on the right and the Holy Spirit in the center in the form of a white dove.

The icon of the Slavic Church is written in the upper margin:

"Portrait of the Venerable Fathers of Saints of Kiev Pechersk Lavra"
