Condition:
Crack on the wood handle, an impact to the body on one side (see pictures), cover hinge is unsoldered.
Embossed decoration with rococo ornaments and cartouches and showing on one side a lady drinking coffee and on the other a gentleman drinking chocolate.
Objects of this type and technique are very rare. Among the few known examples, we could mention the service from the Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé collection (purchased from J.Kugel antiquaires, Paris) and another service preserved in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
