Françoise -Marie de Bourbon ( 1677- 1749 ) duchess of Chartres and then of Orléans , know as "the Second Mademoiselle de Blois " , was a natural daughter that Louis XIV had with his mistress , the Marquise de Montespan .
A legitimized daughter of France , she had several children with Philippe d'Orléans , the " Regent " ,including Louis I of Orléans ( 1703- 1752 )
Duke of Chartres at birth , First Blood Prince in 1709 , Louis d'Orléans is the grandfather of Philippe Egalité and the great-grandfather of King Louis-Philippe .
