16th century majolica chevrette

Chevrette in majolica of Venice, decorated on a blue background of foliage and flowers (a fiori) in a medallion with a bearded old man in profile, characteristic of the Maestro Domenico workshop.

We find on this chevrette one of three types of figures (the bearded old man, the young woman or young man disheveled) frequently represented in works coming from this workshop.

This chevrette was created circa 1560.
