18th Furniture, country french furniture
Rare suite of seven caned chairs with back said "a la Reine" in natural and richly carved moldings cartridges, flowers, jewels and veined leaves.
They bear the stamp of the seats carpenter Henri Amand and rare enough to be reported, all the chairs are stamped (on the back of one of the uprights of the back - twice for some), and all bear the mark of the also Jurande Paris (which we know was less persevering with carpenters).
These chairs by their model, are a perfect illustration of the work of Amand, and as we described in reference books, including the preservation of the symmetrical arrangement and braces specific the French Regence period and also by the location of its stamp.
Parisian work of Louis XV period.
Note: rare and beautiful condition.
Seat height of about 45 cm.
