Superb Barnyard painting signed Jacques Van Coppenolle. Undoubtedly one of his finest works on this subject, painting very colorful and bright, almost "alive", presented in its beautiful and wide wooden frame and stucco gilded with gold leaf.
Like his father Edmond van Coppenolle (who signed E. Coppenolle), Jacques Van Coppenolle (b. 1878) was a renowned painter and worked as a painter-decorator to the earthenware factory of Montigny-sur-Loing. He excelled particularly in his impressionist landscapes scenery of the valley of the Loing. Mobilized during the Great War, he was killed at the front in 1915 and was gone. As a painter, even better than his father, he had made ??a specialty of Barnyard.
