Pair of Empire porcelain vases from the Dihl Manufacture

Important pair of Empire porcelain vases from the Dihl Manufacture, for Christoph Erasmus Dihl (1756-1830)
Blue DIHL mark visible when the vases are dismantled.
Early 19th century Paris porcelain.
Dimensions: Height 55 cm; Width 27 cm; Depth 20 cm.
Painted decorations of village festivals inspired by David Teniers le Jeune.
The blue backgrounds are decorated in matt and burnished gold with horns of plenty, lyres and men's heads, which can be likened to satyrs or fauns in keeping with the theme of the festival.
The handles are adorned with Assyrian-style heads of men or kings, and curve upwards with medallions of putti holding bows and quivers.
