Louis XVI period mahogany and mahogany veneer cylinder desk. It opens with two drawers in the belt, a cylinder revealing compartments, two drawers and a sliding top covered in leather. It is topped with a display case with two leaves. Top in veined Sainte Anne gray marble surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. Stamped H ROUX and jurande hallmark "very good original condition" Condition report and technical photographs on request. Height: 136 cm, Width: 95 cm Depth: 49.5 cm Hubert Roux, cabinetmaker. Master on April 26, 1777. He worked very actively until 1806. Established on rue Saint-Nicolas before the Revolution, he then resided on rue Saint-Antoine. He produced, among other works, numerous cylinder desks.
