A very rare earthenware ‘à l'échantillon’ plate with a colour palette of chatironné flower motifs with treated numerals in pink, parma, violet, blue and gold bearing the rare inscription ‘30 June 1777’.

The only other model known to the Musée de Rouen dated 1781 in the same script as this one.
The sample plates were used to select the decorations for the dinner services when the order was placed.
