A Sèvres soft-paste porcelain plate with a slightly lobed rim and polychrome decoration of fuchsia branches in bloom in the center and on the rim between blue-ground braids decorated with gold garlands of foliage.
Marked with two interlaced Ls, kk for 1787, painter's mark Pierre Massy and gilder's mark Lécot.

This plate comes from a service described as Zone Bleu et fleurs, found in the archives of the Manufacture de Sèvres. It was delivered on May 24, 1787 to the Comte de Montmorin de Saint-Hérem, Minister of Foreign Affairs and previously French Ambassador to Spain. The service is also named service Montmorin in the archives.
