Pair of Carved And Wood Gilded Vases With Painted Sheet Metal, Rome 1780

This pair of vases from the Louis-XVI period is extremely rare. The virtuosity of the sculpture follows with all the elements the Louis XVI style. The gilding has never been touched. The painted sheet metal flowerpots are decorated with ideal landscapes and some characters. Very good condition, exceptional workmanship in terms of the sculpture. Italy / Rome around 1780

The vases come from the famous Giordano Collection and were purchased directly from the collection 10 years before last year's auction
