Large "fond bleu Persan" faience bowl from Nevers 17th century

Exceptional circular earthenware bowl with a "fond bleu Persan" (Persian blue ground), decorated in fixed white with a rare representation of a Bactriane camel reclining in an oriental landscape with mountains, rocks and pine trees in a large central medallion surrounded by foliage and flowers.
17th century circa 1650 - 1660

The reverse bears various provenance and collection labels (Thibault collection, earthenware exhibition 24 May - 24 June 1978 former Hôtel de Beaumont, Guy Loudmer sale 17 October 1983).
