Magnificent rectangular cabinet, originally from Friesland, estimated between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th centuries.
Very rich painted decoration, imitating marble on the pediment and tortoiseshell on the base.
The two doors of the facade depict a gallant scene, where a young man curtsies to the young woman with the bouquet facing him.
The interior of the cabinet reveals four long drawers that surround a spray of flowers and are painted to give a marbled impression.
The dimensions of the cabinet and the arrangement of the drawers suggest that it was intended to hold small objects, in particular the utensils and accessories necessary for smoking a pipe.
