Large library in window, Regency period.
In blackened wood and brass threads, the facade opens with two glass doors in four parts and reveals 5 interior shelves blackened on their edges and inlaid with a brass thread in their center. The shelves can be positioned at the height of your choice using a trestle system.
This bookcase rests on a blackened wooden plinth and is atop a straight cornice enhanced by two parallel brass threads.
It presents on the facade, going around the windows, brass threads in geometric patterns. The upper part is framed by four winding gilded bronze pieces, thus harmonizing the right angle of the bookcase and the rounded contour of the window.
The central part is enhanced by two keyholes and two simulated keyholes, decorated with shells, pearls and acanthus leaves.
The sides have geometric decorations in two parts with brass inlay, each characterized by a double rectangle including the inner one with curved angles.
Interesting and elegant library due to its size, the windows on the facade revealing its secrets on the full height and the simple harmony of black enhanced by fine brass threads and a subtle number of bronzes.
An interior system of double pulleys allows the left door to be blocked.
Restoration of use and maintenance.
