Granite, chiseled and gilded bronze.
These elegant Louis XVI style vases are placed on a quadrangular base with projections and openwork and a fluted pedestal surrounded by a frieze of palmettes.
The granite belly bears two elegant grips in foliage and berry motifs.
The rim is a wide and high belt in a frieze of pearls, fluting and leaves.
Granite art objects are uncommon due to the hardness of this plutonic stone.
The hollow in gilded brass that was the interior of these vases is still in place allowing them to be used as art objects and not as lamps if desired.
The hight quality lampshade is in ecru with a large weave and lined.
