Died in 1956 in Paris. 20th century, Marcel Cosson is a French Post-Impressionist painter. He first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member, honorable mention in 1901, third medal in 1911, then at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and at that of the Tuileries. He often treated subjects of opera, ballet and circus. He was a painter of women, of Parisian life, of the world of dance, of theater. (ref. Bénézit)
