Exceptional oval mirror in delicately carved and gilded wood. The frame, underlined in its center by a frieze of ovals and a beaded frieze, is adorned with a luxuriant country decor in which are intermingled various flowers and fruits, vines, garden attributes ; but also farm animals represented in a very realistic way.

Biography :
Luigi Frullini (1839-1897) is a renowned Florentine sculptor and cabinetmaker who exhibited his works in the Renaissance style at the International Exhibition in London in 1862 and at the Universal Exhibitions of Paris in 1867 and 1878. Virtuoso of sculpture, as shown by his works exposed in museums such as The Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris or the Metropolitan Museum in New York, its diverse clientele ranged from Europe to the United States.
