17th & 18th centuries Furniture and Statuary
This elegant model in walnut wood from the Renaissance period has a fairly high back and seat height, making it a ceremonial seat.
It rests on four legs including two front legs with smooth and ringed shafts joined at the base by four crosspieces arranged in a square frame.
The slightly curved armrests end in a simple scroll ''nose''.
Although no sculpture adorns this armchair, the harmony of its structure and its very slender appearance make it a very beautiful collectible seat.
