A pair of Medici Empire vases/urns attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomire (FRENCH, 1731-1843) A rare and exceptionally beautiful Empire vase in gilt and patinated bronze in the shape of a campaign with an outward facing rim formed of leaves of acanthus. The patinated body of the vase is decorated with a group of maenads dancing in procession. Each vase is mounted on a square base on which Paris musical trophies are mounted, dating from around 1815 Dimensions: 50 x 22 cm.
