The line and the rich carving of this console show a strong derivation from the models of the Berninian Baroque, in line with the Roman training of many Sicilian artists. The island character of this furniture is evident: in particular look at the rampant eagles with spread wings that conclude the complex decorative system and which are very close to some drawings by a well-known Palermo ornatist
