Offered by Conservatoire Sakura
Lace collar, probably linen. Was offered for sale in 1908 in London by the Windsor auction house, appraised by a certain Mr Knox as being a rose point lace, Venetian work from the 17th century or a later French copy from the period of the reign of Louis XIV. The lace is kept in a wall display frame, it is placed on a Chinese silk background with secret embroidery, visible only in raking light. On the back of the frame is stuck the original of the expertise. I made a more readable copy.
Good condition, no damage or repair.
Length: approximately 90cm.
It seems to be a very rare textile.
