Pair of satinwood and violet veneered entre-deux consoles on oak frames.
Half-moon shaped, with a full back and three shelves encircled by an openwork gilt bronze gallery, they open at the waist with three drawers, two of which swivel. The shelves and backs feature an elegant hierarchy of satinwood and violet decor framed by lemon-tree fillets. The front of the drawers and the middle of the four jambs are adorned with a gilded bronze beaded frame. A frieze of mutules underlines the articulation with the sheathed feet with ormolu glides. The top is in veined white marble, with draped scrolls on the jambs, draw handles and ormolu escutcheons.
Stamped by Pierre Roussel 1723-1782 , Master 21 August 1745 .
