17th & 18th centuries Furniture and Statuary
Pretty statue of the Virgin and Child carved in the round on linden wood from the 18th century.
Mary, slightly swayed, supports the Child Jesus with her two arms in a forward movement.
She is dressed in a long coat with flowing folds falling to the ground and whose drapery, which she holds with her left arm, delicately envelops the Child.
On his slightly inclined face floats an expression of dreamy sweetness.
Her hair, styled back, is wrapped in a pretty bun, letting long wavy locks fall over her shoulders.
The Child, chubby and chubby, is naked and tenderly embraces his mother's neck with both arms.
