Louis XVI commode stamped Vassou

Beautiful rosewood marquetry chest of drawers / commode, rich ormolu ornamentation, thick pink grey marble on top (rare color). Opens with 3 drawers on the upper part, 2 drawers below. Parisian 18th century production circa 1780. Stamp of Jean Baptiste Vassou (1739-1807), master in 1767.

Very elegant piece of furniture, perfect proportions. In excellent condition. completely restored with a new varnish. Some of the ormolu parts and the marble on top are 19th century inputs, although beautifully crafted. Traces of old restorations of use but no accident to report. Original marble.
