Flat-handled peg in majolica from Castel-Durante (Italy) with polychrome "a trofei" or military trophies in ochre on an incised blue background.
Inscribed in a scrolled band "SY°.IVIVGI." Dated 1638.
Attributed to the workshop of Giambattista and Gianluca Carli. First half of the 16th century.
Chips, vertical cracks on the right near the handle.
