Pair Of Large Covered Pots middle 19th century

These beautiful and unusual covered pots in the Louis XIV style consist of a marble base, against a bronze base.
The pedestal represents a set of drapes forming in acanthus leaves upwards. The marble body has a bulbous base and the body and neck are in the shape of a Greek lekythos.
Two large friezes of leaves and berries surround the body of the vases, and end in a winding from which fall heavy garlands of laurels.
The marble lid has a water leaves crown enclosing a hop apple.

The marble has a richness of very mixed tones, ranging from emerald green streaks to pink ocher speckles that the photo renders imperfectly.
Like all vases with an elegant design, we approach architectural models, which we see on the attics of the beautiful architectures of the Ancien Régime.
Although not marked, these vases are of the quality of work and design of great makers like Lincke or Beurdeley for example.
