Offered by Étienne de Roissart
Pair of Louis XVI-style cassolette candlesticks, late 18th to early 19th century.
These candlesticks, also designed as cassolettes, are crafted in gilded bronze and white marble.
Each candlestick rests on a square white marble base supported by four small gilded bronze feet.
The gilded bronze cassolettes, positioned at the top of the columns, are adorned with floral motifs, acanthus leaves, and garlands. The rectangular side handles evoke classical and architectural forms inspired by Antiquity.
The cassolettes are crowned with a lid shaped like a cypress cone.
