Description:
Chiseled and gilded bronze, porcelain
This beautiful pair of lamps is in the spirit of objects assembled under Louis XVI.
The classic four-box base is adorned with an openwork guilloche pattern.
Two thin handles carrying a mascaron end in handles.
The bulbous vase is a deep oven blue. The carving work is of good quality.
The often daring variety of regulator lamp shapes is well pictured in this pair.
State:
Perfect condition, porcelain intact, beautiful gilding, new electrification with a pair of very worked offal days and the best work.
The color is more "fresh butter" than on the photos, slightly over exposed to show the brightness of the oven blue.
Note the bronze finials that top the lampshades recalling the high decorative fixing of the first sheet metal lampshades.
Dimensions:
height without shade: 53 cm, with shade, 82 cm, base diameter: 18 cm, large width: 27 cm.
