This exceptional chandelier is composed of a very elaborate barrel carrying an ornate dome also with scalloped edges. There are two kinds of sconces in two sets of 6 each. One form has a single leaf-shaped lights and openwork decoration. A second form of sconce is a large girandole with 4 lights. Each light is decorated with a cup, binet and bobeche very decorated with volutes and flowers. The peculiarity of this chandelier is an ornamentation of pendants in trompe l'oeil with pompoms of trimmings. We are in the most beautiful striking quality of the time, this kind of chandelier is particularly unusual, by its proportions, its condition and its number of lights. It was just very dirty, probably in place since it was installed in the 19th century. No part is missing.
