This beautiful centerpiece is made like a Renaissance tiered fountain.
Two large basins with a large upturned and cut rim are held by a highly ornamented bronze column foot.
The hexagonal cabochon-patterned base supports a fruit wreath.
A hexagonal column also decorated with Renaissance panels and scrolled brackets supports the first basin.
Between the two basins the column is adorned with cabochons and three intertwined dolphins.
A bronze corolla supports the crystal flower bed arranged as a floret for this above all and imaging with the basins in a way the movement of the water in this form of fountain.
It is a work of restoration, with a very detailed chasing and an exceptional glass work of the crystal (Le Creusot or Baccarat).
Two important cuts covered in crystal matched with the basins and with hexagonal base like the top create an elegant symmetrical suite.
Note the foot of these cups and the grip of the lid with a "controlled" air bubble, which is a glassworker's feat.
