Movement
The movement has a striking mechanism that strikes the hours on a bottom-mounted bell. The 24-hour going train with balance is driven by a fusee and chain. The striking train is engraved and has a blued steel indicator hand. The openwork balance bridge is decorated with engravings. The movement is signed Johann Eireng Warshau on the rear side.
Cabinet
The hexagonal cabinet housing the movement consists of fire-gilt brass and bronze and stands on six flattened ball feet. Each of the cabinet’s side faces is fitted with an oval window offering a view of the movement. The upper side is engraved with leaf motifs around the numeral ring. The silvered numeral ring has Roman numerals marking the hours, which are measured by a blued steel hour hand. The centre of the dial is engraved with a rosette.
