Tétard Frères - Set of 12 vermeil silver plates, Paris early 20th c.

Rare set of 12 presentation or ceremonial plates in solid silver plated with gold, by the famous goldsmith TÉTARD Frères. The ornamentation consists of a frieze of finely chiseled water leaves.

Hallmarks:
- French "Minerve 1er titre" (solide silver 950/1000),
- Master goldsmith.

Weight: approximately 8.7 kg.

Condition report:
Very good condition. Some scratches and wear from use, use to the gold in 3 plates.

With great sobriety, this suite of 12 ceremonial plates is part of the will of the TÉTARD Brothers to be part of modernity. This stylistic turn will lead from the 1920s to a breathtaking production of silverware in the Art Nouveau style.
