Pair of European lacquered corner pieces, called vernis Martin, with chinoiserie decoration and gold embellished with chased bronzes, topped with their red marble griotte with corbin beak.
Parisian work of the Louis XV period stamped by the cabinetmaker Jean-Baptiste SAUNIER, received at the mastery on July 29, 1757.
Second son of the cabinetmaker Charles SAUNIER, he was established in the rue de Charenton and executed high quality furniture, mainly in flower marquetry and European lacquer.
