Important pair of gilt bronze and onyx cassolettes in neo-Byzantine style.
The rich decoration is composed of flowers and stylized leaves, scrolls and medallions representing the profiles of young men surrounding, in a medallion, the face of a bearded man with long hair.
The scroll-shaped holds on an axis present the head of Dionysus, god of the vine.
The lids are surmounted by a socket showing a beautiful head of a man with a finely cut beard and a crown.
The cassolettes rest on an important and elegant base in onyx.
