Statue representing Saint Dominique in carved oak wood with traces of polychromy. Founder of the Dominican Order, it is presented in monastic clothing, wearing a dress and a coat. He has a large tonsure. His attributes are the Book of Scripture that he holds open and 2 dogs at his feet symbols of his name “the dog of the Lord”.
The “bear paw” foot that protudes from his dress allows us to date it from late 16th C.
