Exceptional quality, this series of nesting tables by Emile Gallé.
On the theme of the four seasons, they are with the reasons of
-Round of butterflies above the daffodils (spring)
- Wader at the water's edge (summer)
- Swirl of Maple leaves (Autumn)
- Thistles covered with snow (Winter).
The legs and structure are made of walnut, extremely well carved and molded.
The legs and struts simulate tree branches, in an asymmetrical way.
Each tray is surrounded by a small rounded strip, with an effect of downturned angles (rare and subtle for Gallé).
The marquetted decorations are of an extreme finesse in the assemblies, and are very successful.
Very good condition
