18th century
Son of cabinetmaker and merchant Jacques Denizot, Pierre Denizot worked in his father's workshop. Although he obtained his master's degrees in 1740, he did not register them until 1760 when his father died. It is therefore from this date that he will be able to mark his works with his personal stamp.
He owns a cabinetmaking furniture business in rue Neuve-Saint-Roch in Paris.
He also worked for his fellow cabinetmaker and dealer Léonard Boudin.
Finally, he contributes to the furnishing of several large princely or royal residences, including the castles of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Maisons-Lafitte.
He will be all his life supplier of the count of Artois.
