Work from the beginning of the 19th century stamped P. MARCION, Pierre Benoît Marcion (1769-1840), one of Napoleon I's main suppliers.
He supplied many pieces of furniture for the imperial palaces such as for example the bed of the Empress Marie Louise at the Petit Trianon in gilded walnut, richly carved with swans, garlands and foliage delivered in March 1810.
