Elegant middle table in solid precious woods resting on four baluster legs in guaiac connected by an H-shaped spacer, it opens to a drawer in mahogany decorated with a fine molding and sliding directly under the top, this last one also in solid mahogany is rather overflowing and mounted on false tenons pegged in the side rails.
The belt is underlined by a nice mahogany molding in the lower part and its crosspieces are in blond mahogany.
The bottoms and sides of the drawer are in oak, the lock and the bronze keyhole are original.
Rochelais work of the Louis XIV period in a very good state of conservation.
There is a table in the New World Museum in La Rochelle with a similar base with an H-shaped brace and a rather overhanging top.
