Bronze Samurai Stirrups inlaid with Gold, Abumi (Japan, Edo period)

A pair of bronze stirrups, inlaid in gold with flowering vines, the inside in black lacquer. The vine leaves are very delicately chiselled. Condition: worn. Lacquer cracked, one stirrup has damaged lacquer.
Japan, Edo period 1603-1868, 18th century.
