An oak sculpture of Saint Mark. The evangelist is stood bearing the Bible in one hand, the other holding his robes to reveal his lion couchant by his side.
French, mid 16th century.
Measures 88cm high.
Provenance: Bought from Keith Hockin Antiques, The Square, Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire, 9th October 2005 and then a deceased estate of Yorkshire based collector.
