Selection of furniture from the 16th to the 19th century
In molded walnut, intended for the service of game, it opens with two wide leaves sinuously carved with asymmetrical patterns and separated by a false sleeper. The reserves are carved with branches and natural decorations. The massive one-piece steel sheets open the doors, revealing two drawers for cutting knives.
The uprights are finely carved with vines and foliage scrolls.
The side panels with the double motifs of stylized chapels.
The sideboard rests on arched legs connected by an animated crossbar.
At the top, the shell marble top known as the Saint Cyr stone comes from a quarry near Lyon. Its color and shell inclusions are characteristic of this stone used for the most beautiful models of Lyonnais hunting buffets from the 18th century. This throat and cavet stone is 5 cm thick.
