Beautiful Credenza or Dresser offering a beautiful ornamentation of sculptures.
The structure is made up of two superimposed bodies:
The upper body opens with two doors carved in the center of lion heads. These two doors are surrounded by three sculptures representing a male figure on the left, a female figure in the center and a faun on the right.
In the middle part, we will notice the originality of the opening by two small leaves.
The base presents in front two pretty turned columns and decorated with grooves, gadroons ... The bottom of this lower part is decorated with three geometric panels with a rosette.
This piece of furniture is a rich testimony to the ornamentation of the Renaissance period.
The beauty of this piece of furniture is also in the quality of its sculptures as well as in the harmony of its small proportions.

The credenza is a piece of furniture that appears at the very beginning of the Renaissance.
Evolution of the chest and before becoming a ceremonial piece of furniture, it served as a pantry at a time when dishes and other drinks had to be very watched in order to avoid their poisoning!
