Pair of reliquary busts in polychrome wood and gilded with gold leaf. 17th century - Louis XIV period.
The busts represent saints, a Roman centurion (Saint Martin?) and a saint dressed in antique style. On the baroque pedestals, a cavity or shelter the holy relics.
Beautiful object of high period decoration, the busts are presented in their original state, with their gilding and their old polychromy. They present some wear to the decoration and some missing moldings on the base.
