Attributed to André-Antoine Ravrio (1759-1817).
Pair of sconces.
Patinated bronze and ormolu decorated with a lion's head biting an arrow supporting the star-shaped binnacle.
Empire period.
In 1808 and 1809, the bronze smith Ravrio sold several pairs of light arms with arrows and lion masks for Fontainebleau. Two pairs were found in 1810 in the Empress's study room.
