Adriaen de Gryef (sometimes de Gryeff) - (Antwerp 1670 - Brussels 1715) is a Flemish master active in Antwerp and Brussels. He specialized in hunting scenes and still lifes with game, which he painted in small formats, in the manner of Frans Snyders, of whom he was a pupil.
Adiaen de Grief, Flemish school, 17th century.
Table painted in oil on oak panel.
Signed lower right.
Condition: excellent condition of painting, recently cleaned and refinished.
Presented in a gilt wood frame and black lacquer.
Dimensions: Panel 13.1 cm x 18.3 cm - Frame 23.7 cm x 28 cm
Note: If we know him a number of still lifes with game, hunting trophies, stops before hunting and hunting returns, and thus more frozen scenes than the one we present, we know him relatively few hunting scenes truly in motion.
