Fine and rare steel mounted kingwood box signed Pérille à Moulins, with coat of arms surmounted by a count crown. The casket inlaid overall with cross-banded kingwood and with engraved iron hinges. The lid of domed shape with a rectangular handle opens to reveal the blue silk lined interior.
The coat of arms could be those of Philibert Orry, comte de Vignory, minister of the early Louis XV reign.
