This grand pendulum called "portico" of Louis XVI period has a rich decoration in gilded bronze, black marble and white marble.
The pillars set in three fine bronze consoles are surmounted by vases of pine cones. To complete this elegant decor, the columns are black marble, rest on a tripod base clawed with lion and are flanked by golden garlands.
The dial, signed Clerget in Paris, is enamelled white and indicates hours in Arabic numerals. It is cushioned with a flowery vase with eagle heads at the top. It is also decorated with a half leafy crown and a node in its lower part.
The pendulum takes the form of a sun.
